The UP Warriorz have announced their retention list for the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 season. They have retained 15 players and will head to the auction with a remaining purse of ₹3.9 crore.

After a mixed first season, where they finished third in the points table, the UP Warriorz will look to strengthen their lineup in the upcoming season. The team, led by Alyssa Healy, retained a core of top international and Indian talent, including marquee names like Deepti Sharma, Sophie Ecclestone, and Tahlia McGrath.

  7. Sophie Ecclestone – ₹1.8 crore
  8. Tahlia McGrath – ₹1.4 crore
  9. Rajeshwari Gayakwad – ₹40 lakh
  10. Saima Thakor – ₹10 lakh
  11. Anjali Sarvani – ₹55 lakh
  12. Gouher Sultana – ₹30 lakh
  13. Poonam Khemnar – ₹10 lakh

Players Released by UP Warriorz

The franchise released four players to optimize their budget and team composition:

  • Lakshmi Yadav – ₹10 lakh
  • Parshavi Chopra – ₹10 lakh
  • S Yashasri – ₹10 lakh
  • Lauren Bell – ₹30 lakh (overseas player)

Additionally, Danni Wyatt was traded to Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women for ₹30 lakh.
