During this sale, the PlayStation 5 Slim will be available at a discounted price of Rs 49,990, down from its introductory price of Rs 54,990. The sale is set to commence on May 1 and will run until May 14, or until stocks last. Customers can avail of this offer on various platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Croma, Reliance, Sony Center, Vijay Sales, and other participating retailers.
As part of this offer, Sony is providing a flat discount of Rs 5,000 on the disc version of the PlayStation 5 Slim, bringing its effective price down to Rs 49,990. This discount is applicable to two specific models: CFI-2008A01 and CFI-2008B01. However, there have been no announcements regarding discounts on the digital version of the PlayStation 5 Slim, which is currently priced at Rs 45,990.
Despite its slim design, the PS5 Slim retains the powerful capabilities of the standard model, which is currently priced at Rs 44,990. The PS5 Slim features a modular design that can accommodate a Blu-ray drive in the future. It comes with an internal storage capacity of 1TB, an upgrade from the previous models’ 825GB. Both models also support expandable storage via a PCle Gen5 SSD. The PS5 Slim boasts a four-side panel design, distinguishing it from the standard two-panel design.
Looking ahead, Sony is anticipated to launch a professional version of the PlayStation 5 by the end of the year. This upgraded console is expected to offer enhanced features, including consistent 4K HDR gaming with ray tracing functionality.
