Kangana Ranaut surprised a lot of people when she said at an event that Subhas Chandra Bose was India’s first Prime Minister instead of Jawaharlal Nehru.

Kangana Ranaut, who used to act in movies and now works in politics, is known for speaking her mind. She has caused trouble again by saying something controversial. Kangana, who is now a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and running for office in Mandi, surprised many people by saying at an event that Subhas Chandra Bose, not Jawaharlal Nehru, was India’s first Prime Minister.

The part of the interview where she talks about where India’s first Prime Minister, Subhash Chandra Bose, went after independence became very popular on social media. She kept asking the interviewer to explain where he went, even though they tried to correct her.

People on the internet have criticized Ms. Ranaut’s comments.

  • A user said, “It’s correct Subhas Chandra Bose was the first prime minister of undivided India.”
  • A person asked, “Which university did she study from?”
  • “I pray to God that the respected people of Mandi Lok Sabha constituency of Himachal Pradesh use their votes correctly,” someone else wrote.

Subhas Chandra Bose passed away on August 18, 1945, which was before India became independent on August 15, 1947. Jawaharlal Nehru started being the Prime Minister of India in 1951 and continued until 1964.
