Cricket Premier League Will Provide Platform For Cricketers From The State To Reach Higher Levels: Balwantsinh Rajput

The Gujarat Cricket Premier League was kicked off at SGVP ground on Sunday in presence of former GCA president Narhari Amin. The tournament has been organised by the Chiripal Foundation to encourage the players in Gujarat. Earlier, Gujarat Industries Minister Balwantsinh Rajput inaugurated the tournament along with GCA secretary Anil Patel.

The first match of the competition was played between Sabarmati Strikers and Gandhinagar Lions with the former winning at the end of the super over after a very competitive match.

Batting first, Sabarmati Strikers scored 147 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Sneh Patel contributed 41 runs off 27 balls and Dhruv Parekh contributed 28 runs off 16 balls. Gandhinagar Lions too scored 147 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. With the match tied, a super
